Insure the Uninsured Project (ITUP) seeks to increase health coverage of California's 4.5 million uninsured. ITUP has been involved in efforts throughout the state to develop, discuss and disseminate practical solutions to cover the uninsured with state, county and local initiatives, purchasing pools, commercial health plans, employers, policy makers, hospitals, doctors and clinics.

To highlight these efforts and opportunities, ITUP develops and distributes extensive written materials, holds annual conferences and organizes an ongoing series of workgroups and presentations.
